From the ad tap to the sale, in one line.
Four parts: your WhatsApp number, a landing page with your pixels, a leads list you mark, and the events that go back to the ad platforms.
1. Connect your number
In the app you get a QR code. On your phone, open WhatsApp, go to Linked devices and scan it, the same way you would sign in to WhatsApp Web. From then on Wasel sees new messages on that number. Your phone stays the main device and nothing changes for your team.
A chat becomes a lead when a new person writes first. Groups, and chats you start yourself, are not leads.
2. Send ad traffic to your landing page
Each landing page has a headline, a short text and one WhatsApp button. You add your Meta, TikTok and Snapchat pixel IDs, publish it, and use its address as the ad's destination.
When someone taps the button, Wasel records the tap with the ad click IDs in the address (fbclid, ttclid, ScCid) and the campaign tags, then opens WhatsApp with your message and a short reference at the end, like (ref K7Q2MX). When that message arrives, the reference ties the chat to the tap, so the lead shows which platform and campaign brought them.
People who come from a click-to-WhatsApp ad straight into the chat still become leads. When WhatsApp passes the ad's details with the first message, the lead is marked as coming from Meta.
3. Mark your leads
Open a lead to read the conversation and set where they stand: Not a fit, Qualified or Converted. For a sale, enter the value first. The overview counts leads, stages, messages and landing-page taps by source, from your own data only.
4. The platforms learn from your marks
Connect each platform's server-side API under Ad platforms with an access token from your own account. These are the events that are sent:
| When | Meta | TikTok | Snapchat | How |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Someone taps the WhatsApp button on your landing page | Contact | Contact | SUBSCRIBE | Pixel in the browser and server-side, with one shared event ID so each platform counts it once. |
| You mark the lead Qualified | QualifiedLead | SubmitForm | SIGN_UP | Server-side, with the click IDs from the tap and the hashed phone number. |
| You mark the lead Converted | Purchase | Purchase | PURCHASE | Server-side, with the sale value you entered and your currency. |
Phone numbers are hashed (SHA-256) before they are sent, the way each platform asks. Mark leads within a week: Meta and Snapchat refuse events older than seven days. Every answer from a platform is kept in the event log, so you can see what was accepted.
What it does not do
- It does not send messages to your customers.
- It does not create or change your campaigns.
- It does not guess. A lead without a reference or ad details is shown as not tracked.
